Abdy Yeganeh joined ID in October 2014 as the organization’s Brussels office Director. Abdy is a multilateral security expert, with over 12 years experience advising the British Government. He most recently led the Syria Multilateral Team in the British Foreign Office. He has advised the British Government on Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency in Pakistan and Afghanistan, including leading ISAF’s Population Engagement Cell in Helmand, Afghanistan. Prior to diplomacy, Abdy advised the British Ministry of Defence on the Balkans, specialising on Kosovo independence. He has a degree in economics and speaks fluent Farsi.
