ID has provided diplomatic support to the Rohingya community since late 2017, following the surge in violence that resulted in roughly one million refugees fleeing Burma. ID has provided political and strategic advice to a coalition of Rohingya partners to pursue justice and accountability in response to the genocide as well as to achieve progress towards the conditions for a repatriation to Myanmar.
